Fox Valley, WI – This year Mission Myeloma is focusing on growing awareness for multiple myeloma and how our community can help our fellow Wisconsinites who have it. Until there is a cure, this will be our ongoing mission. Navigating a multiple myeloma cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event between treatment, monitoring, and doctor appointments. It can be overwhelming but not unmanageable with community support.
By the end of 2020 and into 2021 we’ve seen an uptick in applicants for our financial grants. We do a happy dance any time we’re able to approve and send help to a person on their cancer journey. Your support helps us reach more myeloma patients.
With the new year, there is a new easy way you can support the mission. You’ve seen your friends raise money for a charity instead of receiving gifts for their birthday, right? Many like to do this on Facebook for a favorite cause they love. Now you can share Mission Myeloma as the organization you’re passionate about! You can start a donation campaign in the name of Mission Myeloma right on Facebook anytime. The funds go directly to help your neighbors here in Wisconsin by providing care packages to hospitals in our network and financial grants directly to those in treatment. Funds also support medical research actively working on multiple myeloma treatment and cures.
